Free Markets good empirical track record

There are no real free markets, but all the rich countries have had something like a free market for a long time. In contrast, there have been several instances of completely unfree markets (socialism and communism) and it is clear that it leads to utter failure.

Follow-ups

  • Are there any signs that markets have gone to far in being free ?
  • The US is often attacked for smaller government than Europe, but immigrates strongly prefer the US to Europe.
